Who we are

This website belongs to UpStrat Strategy Consulting ("UpStrat"), a firm working across India and the United States. We decide how and why the personal data described here is used. You can reach us at talk2us@upstrat.in.

What we collect

When you send us an enquiry through this website, we collect:

• your name and email address
• your company name, if you give it
• what you are looking for, and anything you choose to add in your message

You don't need an account to use this website, and you don't need to give us any personal data simply to read it. Please don't include sensitive personal details in your message.

Why we use it

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry and to talk with you about the services you asked about. We rely on the consent you give when you tick the box on the form. We don't add you to marketing lists on the basis of an enquiry.

How your enquiry is handled

Your enquiry is sent to us as an email and is kept in our email inbox. This website does not save it in a separate database. If your enquiry can't be sent from the form, you can choose to send it from your own email app instead, and your email provider's terms then apply to that message.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run this website and our email:

• MilesWeb, which hosts this website
• Google, which provides the email service that delivers and stores enquiries

These providers may process data outside your country, including outside India. We may also disclose data where the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep website enquiries for 12 months, unless we need them for longer to manage a resulting engagement or to meet a legal obligation. You can ask us to delete yours sooner, as described below.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set its own cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to keep the service secure and running.

Your rights

Subject to the law that applies to you, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it
• correct, complete or update it
• delete it
• stop using it, by withdrawing your consent at any time

Withdrawing consent doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it. To make a request or raise a complaint, email talk2us@upstrat.in. If you aren't satisfied with our response, you may be able to complain to your data protection authority, which in India is the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal data, and this website is served over an encrypted connection. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website is meant for businesses and professionals. It isn't aimed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
